Shrewsbury - Morecambe

Shrewsbury coming from a spectacular away draw (2-2) at Gillingham and will surely be looking only for the 3 points in their encounter with inform Morecambe. Anyone, who takes a look at the standings will see that if Shrewsbury were just a bit stronger away from home they would have topped the table long ago and never let go. The shrews are extremely strong when playing at their own ground and rarely disappoint.
Morecambe on the other hand is a team that surprised almost everyone with their excellent season so far and playoffs are still in reach for them. IMO they have simply overachieved so far and will have some sort of decline in the remaining games.
Shrewsbury played quite nice at Gillingham and left very good impression despite their reputation of a weak traveller. Now this game is a must win and IMO division top scorer Holt and Co will not miss the points.

Tipping on Luton for a second time this week after they didnt disapoint me in the midweek game with Grimsby, where they scored a very late winning goal, but fully deserved the vital 3 points. Now another sixpointer on the cards with troubled Macclesfield coming and hopefuly going back emptyhanded. Luton will have no excuses for not winning this game and I fully expect them to do so. Its a cruacial time for the club - 99% relegated due to the horrendous point deduction, but theeir faith is in that 1% chance of survival. And gotta tell you - looking at the other teams in the bottom and their absolutely shitty form if the hatters manage to win most of the games left I can see them avoiding the drop. In this crucial time luton are happy to have several hugely important players back in the sqaud and as far as I know they will play with best team possible. macclesfield is quite a limited side and IMO Luton will dominate this game from minute one!

Another 3 points for the Hatters!

Luton - Grimsby

few words on this one too:

Luton are up to mission impossible to avoid relegation but as I see them they are not giving up..and with 10 games left - who knows? Miracles have happened before. Tonight is a must win game for them as Grimsby are a direct rival, having 14 points more and just a place above...
On the other hand Grimsby took 1 point from last 2 games, both away from home. The point was won away at Chester, which is not a great acomplishment at all. In that game Newell boys played terrible and if they play like this tonight I dont see even 10% chance of taking even 1 point. So with Luton having some very important players coming back from injuries and suspensions I can see the hatters taking another 3 points to keep the faith alive!

Reading away at Doncaster is one I like. Game number 1 000 for Reading manager in the english football league and the lads will look not to spoil the celebrations. Both teams lost their last game, but Reading home loss from Ipswich was a real slap in the face.
IMO reading will find what it takes to get back on the winning track tonight as they are in possesion of a realy great record against Donny - out of 33 games so far, Reading have lost only 4 or 5. They also won the reverse fixture back in October.
Doncaster have few selection problems and taking in mind the quality in reading squad I definetely prefer the away win. Doyle, Hunt and now Kitson back makes a real killer attack!

Bristol Rovers - Brighton

Rovers disapointed me a bit in their last outing claiming only 1 point away at Carlisle, but the hosts played pretty strong in that game. Now the pirates are back at The Memorial Stadium and will try to claim all the points from a very troubled Brighton side. The guests are in all kind of troubles and in a relegation fight with a very, very depleted squad, ravaged by injuries and suspension. Note that Brighton are still without a permanent manager and recorded a heavy 0-4 loss at home against Crew Alexandra.
Brighton signed 2 loan players to cover for the missing ones and one of them is the extremely expirienced striker Owusu - over 400 league games and more than 130 goals. He will definetely be a threat in Pirates penalty box.
Bristol is having another below par season and only the goals from Lambert, Duffy and Kuffour are pushing them ahead. I expect some goals from them again, but most probably Brighton will not be as toothless as vs Crew!

Narrow home win!

Bury - Chesterfield

Bury is a side I like a lot. Very disciplined in defense, compact midfield and always dangerous upfront. They lost 0-1 away at Brentford but now have an excellent chance to bounce back hosting mediocre Chestefield, where only Jack Lester deserves to be mentioned after the sell of star player Ward! Chesterfield have a disastrous record away at Bury - won only 4 out of 37 games, losing 22 of them! Also Bury won 4 and drew 2 from last 6 home games in the league.

Bury is in a fierce promotion battle and Chesterfield is the next victim.

Barnet - Rochdale

Rochdale are on a real crusade for the L2 title and IMO deserve it the most! Barnet are improved under Hendon, but IMO are not still an equal match for high flying Dale. The guests come from a very good played game against Grimsby and 3 points are waiting again at Barnet.

All in all a few points about the game:
- Barnet still struggling at home with a record of 2-6-7 and it doesnt look promising ahead such a difficult game
- Rochdale have scored in all their 24 previous games and the leaking Barnet defense will get a few!
- topscorer Le Fondre has started scoring again

Luton form is quite OK lately - winning 3-1 away at port Vale, 0-0 draw away at the Accies, 3-1 home win against Shrews.. so 7 points in last 3 games speaks for itself. Now I know their cause is an already lost one, but hats of for the hatters that they still dont give up and continue pushing forwards. 30 points deduction was quite harsh IMO but as appears life goes on for Luton. Funny that after playing at Wembley for the JP Trophy final against Scunny they will have to leave league footie for atleast an year. But lets wait and see, miracles do happen sometimes and they might close the gap to the upper teams.
Back to ther game - Luton in pretty solid form in last few games, Gillingham as always impressing and disapointing at the same time. They won against Bournemouth, but IMO didnt deserve the points. Dull performance in the first half and improved one in the second.

If Luton plays like in last 2-3 games they have every chance of winning tomorrow.

Luton @ 2.50 several books, but small stake!

Like the look of Bournemouth in their home game against Aldershot. The cherries are closer and closer to avoiding relegation after having a huge amount of points deducted before the start. They come from a 1-0 loss from Gillingham away from home and didnt deserve to come back with nothing. Bournemouth controlled the game in first half especially and looked quite decent trough out the game, but bad luck and some very dodgy decisions from the reff denied them a point at least. Last 3 games for the cherries have all been away from home and they played quite decent in all of them, winning one. Only 2 points below Grimsby now and I expect quite a desire for the win from the lads.
Aldershot did record a much needed win defeating Accrington 3-1 at home in their last game, but still I am not convinced enough to think they will take smtg from Bournemouth. The shots have been impressive mainly at home and have a dull record of 3-1-10 in their away games.
